— Atto Vannucci / Sette Pieghe —
Atto Vannucci, the tie brand created by Sevenfold, founded in Florence, Italy, by Kenji Kaga in 2011.
The brand's defining feature is the “Sette Pieghe,” crafted from a square piece of fabric nearly twice the size of that used for a conventional tie, folded into seven layers without interlining.
Rather than shaping the tie with interlining, the fabric itself is folded over and over to create thickness and dimensionality. It is light and supple like a scarf, with a softness that allows it to knot gently, while creating natural volume from the knot through the V-zone.
Every step is fully handmade.
From the fine construction to the movement of the needle, the process is entrusted to skilled artisans, resulting in a soft fullness and deep dimensional character unlike that of conventional three-fold ties.
For this occasion, we created a two-color panel stripe exclusively for cliché.
Silk cotton, with its refined sheen and moderate body, is used for the fabric.
The stripe width, height, and placement were all adjusted in detail, creating a balance that makes the tie initially appear solid when the jacket is buttoned.
Open the jacket and the stripes emerge; button it up and the tie appears understated.
A Sette Pieghe created for cliché, with an expression that changes according to how it is knotted and how the V-zone is shaped.
