A Chesterfield coat made from Super 120’s wool and constructed using reversible sewing.

The fabric is carefully brushed and fulled repeatedly, bringing out the softness and smoothness of Super 120’s wool.

It is constructed using reversible sewing, treating two layers of fabric as one. By opening the seam allowances and applying an equal amount of turn-under to both sides of the fabric, the seam allowances remain discreet even in this substantial fabric, creating a soft, rounded outline.
In conventional reversible sewing, straight sections are often machine-stitched for efficiency, but the straight sections of this coat are hand-felled as well.
Although it takes more time, minimizing rigid seams allows the fabric's natural softness and drape to remain unobstructed.

The pockets are also finished by hand.
Another characteristic of this coat is the deliberate omission of pocket buttons, allowing the handwork to show naturally.

When worn, it is surprisingly light for its visual volume.
At the same time, because the fabric has substantial body, broad, slow-forming drapes extend all the way to the hem as you walk.

Rather than thinning the fabric to make it lighter, the construction makes it light to wear.

This Chesterfield coat is made with a generous amount of wool and handwork that leaves its character undisturbed.
