— Super 120’s Wool / French Blouson —
A blouson based on French workwear, crafted from Super 120’s wool using reversible construction.
The silhouette itself retains the rustic simplicity of vintage workwear, with four patch pockets arranged across the front.
That earthy design has been reimagined with delicate wool and meticulous handwork, giving it a more refined, almost dress-like presence.
The fabric is made from superfine Super 120’s wool.
Through repeated, careful brushing and fulling, it retains the smoothness of fine wool while bringing out a plump, supple texture.
It is constructed using reversible sewing, treating two layers of fabric as one.
The fabric is opened out and the seam allowances are enclosed inside. By constructing it with an equal amount of turn of cloth on both sides, the jacket achieves soft contours that conceal the presence of seam allowances from the outside.
Even the straight sections, which are often handled by machine in conventional reversible construction, are hand-stitched on this blouson.
By avoiding rigid seams wherever possible, the construction preserves the fabric’s natural softness and drape.
The four patch pockets on the front are also hand-stitched, one by one.
To keep that handwork visible, the pockets have deliberately been left without buttons.
Rather than adding ornamentation, the design allows the stitching itself to appear quietly. That, too, is part of this blouson’s character.
The form is workwear.
Yet the fabric is soft to the touch, and the construction exceptionally delicate.
This French blouson retains both an earthy character and refined elegance within a single garment.
