A jacket made from Super 120’s fine wool flannel, constructed using the river technique.

The connecting threads between the layers of the double-woven fabric are carefully cut apart with a cutter, then the opened fabric is folded inward and hand-stitched one stitch at a time.

The seam allowances are kept out of sight, allowing the two layers of fabric to be constructed as one.
Although this process requires considerable time and care, it does not fix the fabric with rigid seams, allowing the softness and drape of the Super 120’s wool to remain fully intact.

It also uses none of the supporting materials typically employed to create the shape of a tailored jacket, such as interlining or shoulder pads.

Rather than shaping the silhouette with interlining or padding, the form is created through the fabric itself and the pattern.
As a result, it has the outline of a jacket while worn, yet offers a natural, body-following roundness and a lightness closer to that of a cardigan.

Worn over a cut-and-sew top or denim, it does not look stiff; paired with slacks, it reads clearly as a proper jacket.

It looks structured, yet feels soft to wear.
This difference between appearance and comfort is another quality unique to the river construction.
