EYEVAN began in 1972 with the concept of “eyewear to wear.”

Among its creations, EYEVAN 7285 was born in 2013 by disassembling and reassembling the components, based on the design and manufacturing methods of “EYEVAN CRAFT,” which used the exceptional skills of the craftsmen of the time to give form to what they truly wanted to make.

Everything, from planning and design through manufacturing, is carried out in Japan.
The brand name “7285” was chosen as a tribute to the products and philosophy spanning from 1972, when EYEVAN was founded, to 1985, when it expanded worldwide.

EYEVAN 7285 “358.”

This new shape is derived from the “349,” distinguished by its edge-emphasized form throughout.

The design is rooted in eyewear created by a Japanese brand in the early 2000s.
Rather than simply reproducing the atmosphere of that era, the contours, polishing, and even the smallest components were reworked and reassembled to create the present-day EYEVAN 7285.

Its defining features are the beautifully lustrous surface and the sharply raised edges of the frame.

Taking more than five times as long as a standard finish, each piece is polished by hand, one at a time, by skilled craftsmen.
They do more than simply enhance the surface’s luster; while polishing, they preserve the sharp contours. This painstaking process clearly brings out the sheen of the surfaces touched by light and the shadows along the edges.

The hinges use EYEVAN 7285’s original 1PIN construction.
The pin is made of K10, combining different materials even in the small components responsible for the frame’s function.

The sunglasses feature the original glass “EYEVAN CURVE LENS,” developed jointly with the manufacturer from the formulation of its color onward.

Rather than faithfully reproducing vintage designs, the brand uses past designs as a starting point to create new eyewear with the skills and techniques of today’s craftsmen.

358 is a model in which this philosophy is expressed throughout, from the contours of the frame to its smallest components.

※The product includes a dedicated eyeglass case and cleaner.
