Good evening. This is cantáte’s Shin Matsushima.

I truly love the body of this T-shirt.

When making clothes, I find myself thinking upward without limits, always considering, “Next time, I’ll make something even better.”

But when it comes to this one, I cannot imagine making anything better.

A jersey fabric made from first-picked Suvin Gold, knitted as densely as possible.

it is soft without feeling flimsy. It has body yet stretches properly, and it is supple.

It feels good the moment you put it on, but

Wash it, hang it to dry, and wear it again. It is a fabric you become more and more captivated by through that repetition.

Truly jet-black—and the word I love most.

 

And then, there is this black.

Black is not just one color.

there are bluish blacks and reddish blacks.

To dye it simply a deep black,

The final result is influenced not only by the dye, but also by the whiteness of the yarn itself.

All of these elements come together to create this black at last.

So, looking at this body made me want to create another one.

In a sense, it is a piece like a secret menu item.

The logo is rendered in shadow lettering.

It is legible up close, yet from a little farther away it can also look like a graphic.

Crackle print. The subtle cracking blends in even though it is brand new.

 

It has a completely different impression from the white and gray versions, with an atmosphere so changed that it is hard to believe they are the same T-shirt.

I am sure those who own the white or gray versions will want the black one too.

Those who bought the black one will probably want the white and gray versions next.

At least, that was the case for me.

Lately, before I know it, I find myself wearing this T-shirt and nothing else.

Or rather,I have been wearing nothing but this T-shirt.
